What is Grandparents Day?
Four decades ago, President Carter officially announced Grandparents Day. Since then, the day has been designated to celebrate the contributions of grandparents, to allow grandparents to express their love to their grandchildren, and to remind grandchildren of the wisdom and guidance their elders can offer. To help your little ones play their part in showing Grandma or Grandpa how much they’re loved and appreciated, we’ve developed 2 free Grandparents Day printables. These sheets can be easily printed and then filled out (either by them or by you with their input, depending on their age) and given along with a special Grandparents Day gift to that cherished person in their life. Be sure to have them draw a picture too!
When is Grandparents Day?
Grandparents Day is celebrated on September 8, 2019. The date varies each year, but it will always be the first Sunday after Labor Day.
