Shared Choices Instructions
“Shared Choices” (SC) are user inputs for product selection, item personalization and item customization. SCs are created within BV and can be sharable for use by many products or items. An SC can be created but not shared if required.

SCs may be combined at the product or item level to allow all the required inputs

Product Level Shared Choices – “Product Modifiers”
Product Modifiers are used when the customer’s choice will affect the inventory actually used by the final result of the item added to the cart. Some common examples are: shirt color & size, frame size, canvas bar thickness or afghan color. Each of these directly affects the product used to make the finished item. Product Modifiers are applied to products to manage inventory.

Color List: Works like a drop down selection that shows the color of the choice.

Drop Down List: Allows the customer to choose from a drop down list.

Personalization Inputs
Personalization Inputs allow the customer to select or enter text to tell production how their item should be customized or personalized. Personalization Inputs are applied to Items. The most common examples are: text fields, colors lists or drops downs.
File Upload: Allows the customer to upload an image or photo

Html Area: allows additional instructions within an item’s personalization entry area.

Text Input: allows text entry Color List: Allows a selection by the customer and shows a color swatch

Inside of Card: is a specialty SC that is used specifically for the inside of Holiday type cards. It controls: font style & color, default verse options and 3 custom lines. It also controls the inside of the card portion of preview and generates a production ready print file.

Character or Image Only List is used to create list of Characters or repeating drop downs within one SC. The Character choice list is created as its own Drop Down List.

Title & Name List (w/ or w/o “Title”): is used to create one SC for “Title & Name” or “Brag Wear” type items. The SC allows for w/ or w/o out a title like grandma, a listing of names and additional payment for more names.

Photo & Name List: is used to create one SC that allows a list of names and photo for each name. The Photo Upload portion is its own SC.

Character & Name List: creates one SC that allows the input of many names with a character choice for each name. The Character choice list is created as its own Drop Down List and then added to this SC.

Radio Button List: allows the customer to make a selection and see all the options at once. Typically used when the amount of choices is very limited.
