Inventory Help

The inventory values are linked to the OMC inventory system. The BV SKU should match the OMC product number. If the BV SKU does not or cannot match the OMC Product number then update the BV Inventory Alias to match the OMC Product number. If we are tracking inventory and the Quantity Available = 0 than all the items that use this product are unavailable. If only the variation, like one size, is unavailable then the other variations are still orderable.

Track Inventory: Checked if OMC Stock Type = Actual which mean we are tracking inventory. Un checked if we have assumed that the product is always in-stock or immediately available.

Quantity Available: this is the amount of inventory that is made available for sale. If sales volume is very high its value may be lower than stated in OMC. If the value reads 99999 and Track Inventory is not checked than it is assumed in stock.

Inventory Alias: if the BV SKU cannot exactly match the OMC Product number than type the OMC product number here.

Common Questions:
Why does the Quantity Available in BV not match OMC? The inventory is not updated real time. There is a delay between the two systems. Typically the value available in BV will be lower than the OMC value. The inventory tool deducts “safety stock” based on the speed the product is selling compared the amount available to consider not completed adjustments and other inventory risk factors.

What does NOT MAPPED mean?
NOT MAPPED means that the product is not receiving inventory or cost values from OMC. Check that the BV and OMC Product values are the same, it may also require an Alias.
